FAQ

Good questions, answered

The things hosts and planners ask most. Don't see yours? Get in touch.

Do you carry the liquor license and liability insurance?
Yes. We hold a California ABC catering authorization and a $2M general + liquor liability policy. We pull the event-specific permit for your venue and date, and we can name your venue or planner as additional insured on a certificate of insurance (COI) at no extra charge.
What do you provide, and what do I provide?
We bring the bar, bartenders, glassware, ice, mixers, garnishes, tools, and setup/teardown. In most packages, the host provides the alcohol — California licensing rules make a host-supplied model the most cost-effective, and we give you a precise shopping list down to the bottle. We can also arrange a fully-stocked option in licensed jurisdictions; just ask.
How far do you travel?
We serve all of San Diego County with no travel fee within 30 miles of downtown. Beyond that we add a flat mileage rate, and events more than 90 minutes out may include a crew lodging line. We will always quote travel transparently up front — never as a surprise.
What deposit do you require, and what is your cancellation policy?
A refundable $500 deposit reserves your date. The balance is due 14 days before the event. Cancel more than 60 days out for a full refund of the deposit; inside 60 days the deposit converts to a credit you can apply to a rescheduled date within 12 months.
Do you need power and water on site?
The truck runs largely self-contained. We bring our own ice, water reservoirs, and a quiet battery system for lighting and blenders. If a standard 110v outlet is within reach we will happily use it, but it is not required — perfect for beach, vineyard, and backyard settings off the grid.
How much space does the bar truck need?
Plan for roughly a 20 ft by 12 ft level area for the truck plus the service line, with clearance to drive in and park. We will walk the site with you (or review photos) ahead of time and flag anything about access, slope, or surface that needs planning.
Can you serve in a dry county or a venue that prohibits alcohol?
We follow every venue and jurisdiction rule. Where alcohol is restricted, our craft non-alcoholic program is a full experience on its own — house zero-proof cocktails, mocktail flights, and the same bar styling. We are happy to design a dry event that still feels like a celebration.
How far in advance should I book?
Peak Saturdays in spring and fall book 6–9 months out, so the sooner the better for a specific date. That said, we keep room for shorter timelines and can often accommodate weekday and off-season events with just a few weeks notice. Reach out and we will tell you honestly what is open.
